Our first family Snowman.
Myles was a bit standoffish with the snow. He kept falling, not able to get up. With the heavy, puffy gear, ambulation was difficult. After a while, he made a truce with the cold, powdery substance and ended up having a good time.
We began to set up for Christmas after making our snowman friend. Myles loves the nutcracker that the Stillwaugh family gave him last year. He keeps kissing it. Here is a photo of him puckering up.

Thanksgiving 2010 at the Ashton Casa
This Thanksgiving was certainly one to remember. We headed to Nampa to spend the day with my family. Myles got to enjoy it with my parents, who spent the last 2 years in the Philippines.
P.s. drinks in hand were just hot apple cider, in case you were wondering.
No funny business going on here!
Myles got ahold of a pink highlighter, thus needing a bit of a wash. He had a great time soaking.
After his soak in the sink, he decided to lock the bathroom door for more privacy after I got him all dried off. He loves opening and shutting doors, now locking doors. The next step of learning.....unlocking. ( he had locked himself in his room 2 days prior). Here is Gavin working at the door, as the adults stand at watch, you know, supervising, egh?
Hoooray, Myles is free! We all clapped for him as the door opened. He apparently isn't as thrilled.
Finally it's time to relax with a game of cards. What a fun Thanksgiving it was this year.

Conversations with Myles
Jay is in Nevada, and to Myles dismay, he has been having a lot of conversations with his mother. Thanks for the good conversations, Myles.

Growing up
Do I see the next Picasso?
Myles favorite activity....brushing his teeth. He could spend all day at the sink. Doesn't he look so big?
Time to get the rain gear on and explore. He just loved it, can't you tell!
Time flies by so fast, Myles is growing into such a big boy. Relishing every moment, marking each memory and loving every second we have with him.

Tree hugger, tree swinger
When I got home from work on Friday, Jay and Myles were nowhere to be found. Hmm, Jeep in driveway, backyard empty, where could 2 mischievous boys be hiding.....anywhere! After several minutes of searching, Ca ching... the stroller was gone. Boy's have gone for a walk. Upon their return home, Jay instructed me to look at the photo's on the camera. The first picture that came up was the one above, Myles swinging from the tree. Being a protective parent, maybe too protective, I pictured myself lying on the ground, using it as a barrier between Myles and the ground. Worried at what the next several photo's could be, I was relived. Myles is a tree hugger, not just a tree swinger. The monkey costume this year for Halloween was quite fitting. Wish he could have had it on in the photo. Oh, I love my precious boys!

Halloween 2010
Monkey Sr. and Monkey Jr. were well behaved on Halloween night. No monkey business going on with the monkey handler keeping them at bay. Whew, quite the full time position this was, but nothing a well trained handler could keep up with. Whip stayed secured in belt all night.
Don't get me wrong, we are huge gumbie fans. This gumbie on the other hand was quite creepy friendly.
We spent the evening trick or treating on Harrison blvd. Yes, it was busy, busy, busy. This is what I remember Halloween to be growing up. Kids outside in the dark everywhere in costume knocking on the neighborhood doors, somewhat chaotic, and unfortunately not something you can do anymore these day's. So, fighting the hustle and bustle on the busiest street on Halloween day was the next best thing. We only trekked through about half of the street, but seeing Myles in awe with all the action was worth every second.
