This and That

Okay, I think I've seen this scene in a movie before. Myles new love is to grab his sippy, blankets, nemo, ink, dori and marlin toy's and lye underneath the bed. There are only a few inches between his head and bed, so no room to move, just lye. Random, but he loves it.
We made pizza last night, something we really haven't done as a family before. It was so fun to have Myles help out and sample each topping. P.s, he loves pepperoni.

Here is Myles giving poncho a "treat". Poncho gently takes it from Myles fingers and snorts away with his tasty treat. Myles giggles and laughs, just another way he brings so much joy to our lives.

A bit under the weather

Last weekend we stopped by PoJo's for some family fun. We all had a blast, Myles loved starring at the bright lights and kids running around crazily. He also played some games, one which was the ultimate favorite. Of course, the water shooter.
I am a bit of a germ phobe, but I have to disconnect from that from time to time, because I realize that being clean isn't always fun for everyone else. In my head, this is the is what I am saying. "I wonder how many germs are on that handle Myles is holding, how often do they disinfect in here. How about the seat I am sitting on, run, run to the bathroom, wash your filthy hands." Myles had an absolute fantastic time, so it was worth every germ infested minute.

Well, a few day's later, Myles started feeling a bit under the weather. Uh oh, PoJo's, I should have known. It started as a flu bug in his stomach, then moved to upper respiratory.
Poor guy has been inside all week reading, playing with toy's and cuddling with poncho. I love this photo. Lot's of time to snuggle with our little man. Hope you feel better soon.

An Ode to the beautiful

Another beautiful evening with some beautiful people.

Lauren holding Myles at bay from throwing himself in the sink.
Myles loves his Giraffe he got from Lauren and Detrik. Proof of this below.

He loves watching Toy Story while sitting on his new friend.

Myles and Detrik playing blocks together.

Myles was madly in love with the sink. He is obsessed with water. Forget toy's, great food and good conversation. An extra deep kitchen sink, and the rest of us are toast.
He's been putting his hand up to the tub water nozzle lately, causing a remake of the Nile river in our bathroom. Afraid of a possible river making episode, I stood close by.
Aha, and here we go again.
We find ourselves constantly wondering what we could do or say that would show how grateful and thankful we are to these beautiful people. Cards, letters, words or even shouting it out from the top of the roof wouldn't suffice. Feelings of joy, peace and serenity fill our home now. The best way to say Thank you? Giving Myles a life of happiness, love and pure delight.

All is well.

Christmas day with the familia

First stop on Christmas morning were Grandma and Grandpa Ashton. We had a fantastic time hanging out, munching on goodies and catching up. Dad is always so fun to talk to and hear his stories about their mission. Mom is so cute. I just love her smile.

Myles loves the "little people" car wash he got from Grandma and Grandpa.
Next, we headed to Grandma Linda's house. By far, one of Myles favorite activities was the "airplane", with Uncle Rob. Myles would get wrapped up in his blanket and swung back and forth. Myles was ecstatic every time, begging Rob to go again and again.

Uh oh, Uncle Zach got a megaphone for Christmas. Bad news bear. I see trouble.

Uncle Troy, enacting Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer.
Finally home for the day, Myles ran to his room to play with all of his new toys. What a perfect day.

Christmas morning

I just love this photo. Myles was so excited to see all of the presents that Santa brought. By far, this was the best Christmas ever. Watching Myles open up his presents with such joy was priceless. We couldn't ask for anything more.
Playing with his train.
He can now officially play with his blocks, instead of finding them wherever I hide them.
I love the look on his face, as if he were saying "what do you want from me, Hulk and Spiderman?"
Myles had to hug everything he opened. What a little sweetie he is.

Oh my gosh, it's bullseye!

Slinky dog
Alright, now for a quick spin on the trike.
Our wonderful neighbor stopped by, bringing Myles some gifts. He just loves his Tigger, as you can see. We have been so blessed with such a great neighbor, always so happy to see our little Myles.

One fine Christmas Eve

Another wonderful year of Fondue, friends and Santa at Aunt Toni and Lisa's house.
Santa came for a visit. Myles got a trike from Santa, he absolutely loves it, if you can't tell.
Our family, squishing poor Mr. Santa. I love the looks Myles is giving him. They seem rather threatening.
One of Myles favorite toys, Buzz Lightyear!
Myles being a good friend, giving Buzz a ride on his new trike.

Thing's that may or may not happen while building a gingerbread house

We decided to construct a gingerbread house at Grandma Linda's. We had a blast, which can be expected with a room full of hooligans.
The boy's carefully laying down the foundation of our house.
Jay may or may not be eating the m&m's for the door.
You may get poked in the head by Zach's crazy hair.
Linda and Jenn may be the best Gingerbread house decorator's in the universe!
Isn't it so beautiful.
The boy's flexing there muscles at what a manly job they did making there cute gingerbread house.
The girls "raising the roof", (the roof began to fall down).
