Dear High Desert Trail Run, your steep hills, badger holes and rough terrain made me cry deep down inside. Your seemingly flat grassy patches which for a second was a great relief for the ankles, ended up only to be a great disappointment, after only finding out your sneaky hidden holes, ensuring great pain.
I have always envisioned a life of running, but for some reason, only dreamed of it. No more dreaming, time to start living the dream, running the dream.

My dear friend, Norma, I just love her. We've worked together since our building opened, she is my mentor. A great mother, wife and friend, I look up to her with great admiration. We did it, our first 10K together! Myles and Jay waiting and cheering at the finish line.
It's hard to see, but Myles was drinking a bottle of water, then held it out to me, offering up his cold water for Mommy.
Myles found a water hole, which he ended up falling in.
