Myles and Jack=BFF

Myles and Jack are as close as brother's can be. They have been together since they were born and love each other to pieces. Watching them grow up together and form such a bond is truly amazing. They call each other the night prior to daycare, negotiating which toy they can bring, usually consisting of Rescue Bots, Power Rangers, or the Sting Ray they both newly acquired at the Aquarium together.
The picture above is from Myle's first slumber party, hosted at his house. Jack in the Batman cap and Myles in his Power Rangers costume, playing together.

Jack starts Kindergarten this year, and Myles will be moving on as well. Even though we will still have play dates and sleep overs, this is sad. Growing up is so hard to do.

Our first camp out!

We decided it was high time to have an official camp out, instead of back yard camp outs, although they are quite fun!
Dad teaching Myles how to set up a tent.
Myles was so excited to explore all of the insects and butterflies.

Time to unload the trailer, thanks for your help buddy!
Now that all the work is done, it's time to play and relax by the river.

Dustin decided to take a dip in the river, so along went Myles. They are two pea's in a pod.
Dustin and Myles throwing rocks in the river, while another camper (names unmentioned) ice's her achy knee's in the icy water.
We don't call him Crazy Dustin for nothing!
Perfect way to spend a weekend!

IT'S BEEN OUR PLEASURE

We have been so in love with this woman, the one who's taken care of Myle's since he was a wee baby on our work day's, loved, nurtured and adored our little man. We are so grateful for the woman she is and are so excited for her and her new adventures in West Virginia.
With a tearful goodbye, we say we love you Lani, Charlize and Kiara. It has been our pleasure.

Disaster!

He's cute, he's cute, he's cute........running through our heads at midnight when Myles decided to wake us up with the words " I did something bad." Walking into his bathroom to see the 2 bottles of body wash, 1 bottle of butt cream and 1 bottle of toothpaste completely emptied on the floor, sink, walls and door is something all parents jump with joy to see at again MIDNIGHT! Now, several day's later, we can look at the pictures and laugh, kind of. Every kid does, this.....we are grateful at age 4 that this is the first time Myles decided to go postal on body wash. Another positive note........the floor is really clean and smells of Cars and Sponge Bob body wash. Who isn't dying to have a bathroom that wreaks of that?

Memorial Day 2013

We had so much fun last year trekking through Celebration Park on Memorial Day, we decided to do a repeat this year.

Myles brought his net and bug house for the snakes, worms, lizards and fish he planned on catching!

So far, our only catch was a shell.
So, now it's time to move on to lizard catching! Last year, the lizards would run across the trail, one after another. This year, as you can see, no lizards darn it!

So, let's head to the rocks and search for some snakes, why not, I love snakes!
While hunting for this snake friend, a rabbit suddenly hopped out of the rocks with threatening eyes! I whaled, screamed and jumped as high as humanely possible. The boy's rolled there eye's, while moving on to something more interesting.
After we got home, we decided to have a smashing bbq, while Myles decided to sharpen his WWF moves on his poor animals.
