One special night, with a whole lot of special people. We had dinner with Lauren, Detrik and the whole family. How truly blessed we are to be a part of there lives. How could something so amazing, the gift of a beautiful boy turn out to be so perfect? Each of our stories, struggles, unite, and all for little Myles. He is so blessed to have 3 wonderful families in his life, here to love him and be a part of his life. Looking back and reflecting, we are so lucky. Lucky to have such wonderful people in our lives. Lucky to have this beautiful child in our lives, thanks to two wonderful people. All for love, all for Myles.

More firsts for Mr. Myles
Myles all dressed up, had the unfortunate first, last week of attending a funeral. One of Jay's good friends mom.
One of Myles most favorite's, strings! He will pull you too and fro if a string is attached to your sweater. Quite entertaining if your not his current victim.
We decided to brave the snow covered roads and head to Chilli's for a dinner filled with calories and artery blocking agent's...yum, yum! Myles was too enthralled with all of the excitment, not wanting to miss a thing, rather than socializing with his parent's.

First tooth for Myles!
It's official, Myles has a tooth, and he is proud!
We spotted it just this morning, and have named it hank. Gosh, our baby is turning into a little man, soon chest hair and a squeaky voice to add. Another first for Myles, his first cold. Battle fought and won this week, for the boy's that is. Now that they are feeling better, poor mom is sick, sick sick. Boo, hiss.
Thank you to brother Rob, for being our hero. Functioning, beautiful apple computer. Ahhhhh, what more could one need.

Random
Alrighty, we have photo's! Sorry about the non upright photo, running out of time and patience at the moment to make thing's look ship shape. Myles favorite past time? Starring at himself in the mirror! He gazes, with looks of "hey you, good look'n, or I've seen you once before." After multiple minutes of starring, he then embraces it with his lips, slaps, hit's the mirror, and so forth. This could go on all day, hence the smudges all over it. It's odd how this mirror came about. It was the mirror to our old dresser we gave away. The new owner of our dresser didn't have room in his truck, since then, Myles has claimed this item, sitting in the middle of the hallway. Too much entertainment for this thing to actually go. Sorry Dustin, you may not have a mirror to go with your pretty dresser for a while.
We also had a photography session in the front yard before Thanksgiving, me lying in the grass, saying cooooooo, weeeeeeee, blaaaaahhhhh, anything to make him look up and smile, as the onlooking neighbor's stare in there windows. Who cares, neighbors, we have a photography session taking place, stare away!
Also, Myles loves to yell/scream. He loves the sound of his voice and bellows with the rest, (Jay).
We love our Myles, so lucky to be a part of his life!

Computer has the flu..........
Hello all, well our computer has been a bit under the weather for the past several weeks now. Poor little guy. Until our superhero, Rob, not only brother, but also Apple Genius visits for Christmas and performs open mac surgery, we will be using an IBM. Being the special one that I am, figuring out how to download photo's and all that jazz is prooving to be difficult. It's been awhile since I've used anything other than apple. I shall take a tutorial this afternoon from my niece, "young thang", Danielle. Hopefully I can post some pictures this evening of all the fun we've been having, including hosting our first Thanksgiving dinner without casualty! Take care everyone.

Myles says his first word!
Well, Myles said his first word yesterday, cheeseburger, can you believe it! Okay, that's a flat out lie. His first word was dada. He say's it none stop dada dada dada. It's so darn cute. I must admit, I've been doing my best at saying mama at least twenty times a day since he was born, hoping he would be influenced in some way...........He also is now munching on organic teething cookies. He pounds it on his high chair tray, then nibbles, then again, pounds, it's quite entertaining. Also, his new favorite activity in the bath? Jay squirting him with his water toy's. Myles laugh's and laughs, it the cutest thing. As soon as I figure out how to post video, I'll get it on. Another favorite of Myles, is washing his hands in the sink. He could do this all day, of which he has dish pan hands at an awfully young age. Poor little guy!

Best Halloween ever!
It's official. By far, this was the best Halloween ever. The day before Halloween, we stopped by Auntie Danielle's work for trick or treating, then my work's annual trick or treat fest. Patient's sit outside there room, handing out handfuls of candy. Each year, patiently waiting to participate, yep, this was our year. Kids running up and down the halls in all of there cute costumes, and maybe showing off Myles a little, okay alot.
Halloween day, we spent the day making halloween cookies, and doing a little bit of wrestling and goofing off with Myles. We got him a Johnny Jumper, so he spent a good part of the day spazzing out on it.
Let the dress up begin.........we had to stop by Auntie Danielle's for a quick photo op, then off to Trunk or Treat where we raised the roof, okay, not so much. Afterwards, we headed to Harrison blvd and had a blast. So many kids dressed up, running from house to house, just like I remember halloween as a kid. Then we stopped by a house where they put on a production of "Thriller" by Michael Jackson. It was soooo cool to watch, what a fabulous job they did. After we got home, we threw the candy on the floor while Myles rummaged through all of the noisy wrappers. Jay and I scoured through all of the sugary goodness, eating as much as we could, knowing this would be the only year we could get away with it. So, there it is, the story of our best Halloween ever! Thank you Myles for making it the best and being the cutest son ever!

Let Halloween begin!
Oh, how we love halloween! Tricking, treating, tricking some more. This is the time of the year when Jay and I can officially act immature. Lot's of fun, using scary masks, hearing screams, decorating and dressing up. Oh, the fun Myles has in store for him. Last weekend we picked pumpkins at Linder Farms, fed animals and ate junk food. The following day, we celebrated the second annual "Pumpkin Shananigans." Our friends gather round all of the weirdo's from work. (Most of us are quite weird, you have to be to work in health care.) We all sit in the middle of her kitchen floor, throw all of the pumpkin innerds or "shananigans"in the center of the floor. We all make our magical and beautiful pumpkins, each showing off our gorgeous work. Not always so beautiful though. A good time always to be expected at beloved Pumpkin Shananigans. Oh, how we love our friends! Next weekend excursions include scary masks. Watch out my little pretties!

Extra, Extra... Myles 6 months photo's are in!
What a blast these photo's were. Myles decided to take a piddle on the floor not once, but twice. The freedom of the cool air brought inspiration. Imagining of being in the great outdoors. Oh Myles, what an adventurer you are! Unfortunately my hard wood floor is not a pine tree. Easy clean up though. Myles now holds his own bottle, sits for multiple minutes by himself without tumbling over. His personality is really shining through and what a little tease he is. A smile or laugh is almost always being shown. A lot of laughs in our house these days. How could life get any better?
Time for court!

One special little guy!
Well, it's official. We are now legally Myles parents! Court was scary, but at the same time wonderful. Myles sat behind the table on my lap, just as quiet as can be. The judge smiled and adored at how cute he was. The attorney asked "how has Myles changed your life?" Trying to speak, but with crackling words spilling from my mouth instead, my answer? "He completes our family. We have never laughed, smiled and had as much fun as we have the past 6 months." The miracle of adoption and some wonderful souls gave us this experience, a gift we will cherish forever. A love and bond so strong, nothing could break. We all love you so much Mr. Myles. One special little guy!

New swing, new toys, new tub!
So, I've been doing a little shopping.....uh oh! Myles had to have an outdoor swing, which he loves. He laughs and coos each time the swing is pushed. We spend a good chunk of our day out on the deck, swinging and barbecuing. Oh, the fun! Myles was getting a little snug for his tub, so we got him a big boy tub. He now has room to splish and splash, and of course can now fit more than 1 rubber ducky, one which has M on his chest for Myles! He had his 6 month well check and now weighs 16 lbs, 17oz, and is 26" tall! He is starting to become more of a pro at sitting up, and working on his crawling skills. My demonstrations only make him laugh, I don't think he sees it as a learning experience. Also, the bruise to my left knee from previous tutorials, is hindering further tutorials. I don't think I can keep the cat in the bag any longer.........for Halloween, Myles will be Yoda from Star Wars, a dream of Jay's from decades ago. He will be Luke Sky walker, and will carry Myles in the front pack, supposedly a scene from Star Wars. Jay has it memorized for this occasion. I will attempt at Princess Leia. We are taking Myles 6 month photo's on Monday, can't wait to post some of them. You'll get a kick out of one of the outfit's I had to get on a shopping excursion! Thanks Lisa, we had a blast, and yes, Jay was pleased!
