My, my how time flies these day's. I can't believe this is Myles second time at the Fair already. Everyone warned us it would go fast. Well everyone, you are right. The fair was a totally different world this year for us, exploring so much more this time. It is so much fun to see the look in Myles eye's as he makes his own discoveries for the first time. The dinosaur exhibit was definitely the best. We were nervous about Myles getting freaked out, but he did great. They looked and sounded like real dinosaur's with an area in the back you could search for dinosaur fossils in the sand.
I just love these pictures. Myles loves looking through holes, so it was easy this year to get him to look through with a grin.
Myles went on his first ride at the fair. The picture's below were his second ride. The first was a roller coaster, yes roller coaster. As soon as we arrived to the kiddie area, we were so excited to get Myles on a ride, we ran to the first thing we saw. There were several toddler's on this ride, but apparently this wasn't there first time. Myles and I boarded this monster and were instructed by the sweet fair man on how to safely buckle us in. As the ride began, immediately I knew this was a bad bad idea, by the twist's, turn's, inclines and declines ahead of us. Myles began making whaling noises immediately. I think it was the girls behind us screaming at the top of there lung's more than anything that freaked him out. Each time, passing Jay standing by the stroller, he looked more and more concerned. This look was reciprocated by his wife and son.
Ride #2 was the train, a much wiser choice for Myles. As you can see, he has a look of concern. I think he was scarred by the monster roller coaster. Sorry little dude. It's funny how you learn thing's as you go. We ran into a friend who informed us about the pamphlet's at the ticket booth on age appropriate rides. They laughed at us, only after confessing they did the same thing with there first. Well, now we know!
Overall, a fantastically fun day at the fair this year. We were lucky enough to meet some very special people. So blessed to spend it together with our family.
I love how you guys are chronicaling Myle's childhood....what a wonderful idea. I have never met the little guy...but he sounds like such a great kid! You are so creative...and so expressive as I felt like I was right there at the fair with you guys as you were strapping into the roller coaster! : ) It's refreshing to see a couple so in love with each other, loving their child, and loving the Lord! God Bless!
